Minnesota Has Always Been Home

Minnesota has always been our home, and we couldn't imagine starting a business anywhere else. There's a natural beauty here unlike anywhere else — and growing up enjoying our lakes, our woods, and the quiet of the outdoors gave us a deep appreciation for the land and a desire to protect it. That same care shows up in the sustainable packaging we make today.

What started as a way to serve farmers with high-quality egg cartons and flats has grown into so much more. Today, we create custom molded fiber packaging for food, industrial, and consumer markets alike — but no matter how much we grow, we bring the same care to every order we did on day one.

Our Story

Where it all began

LEI was founded in 2014 by Paul and Katie Johnson, who come from a family of farmers. They saw firsthand how hard it was for egg farmers to get high-quality packaging and dependable service in an industry that too often overlooks the smaller farmer.

So they set out to change that — starting with molded fiber egg cartons and flats built to a standard farmers could count on, backed by genuine, personal service. That promise — quality you can count on and service you can trust — still defines who we are.

From the very beginning, LEI's core mission has been to glorify God in all that we do. We have sought the Lord's counsel in every decision, striving to honor Him in our work knowing that all we have is an undeserved gift from Him.
